I have been interested in and passionate about electronic music since my early childhood when my parents bought me my first vinyl record player and a copy of "The Model" by Kraftwerk.
I have been interested in and passionate about electronic music since my early childhood when my parents bought me my first vinyl record player and a copy of "The Model" by Kraftwerk.
Since then I been influenced by genres such as Electro, Hip Hop, House music, Happy hardcore (early nineties), Jungle Techno, Techno and Drum and Bass. All of these genres brought something new and exciting sonically and made me think about how the artists were creating such interesting sounds. In the early nineties I purchased a pair of Technics SL1210 decks so that I could learn how to DJ and this is where my journey down the rabbit hole into DJing and music technology began.

I had the pleasure of mentoring James for six months as part of our production, mixing, and mastering mentorship program. From the very first session, James stood out with his original ideas and creative approach. His production skills improved remarkably over the course, consistently building on what he learned. He demonstrated a strong understanding of the concepts taught and asked thoughtful, insightful questions that reflected his deep engagement with music production.
During the program, James achieved an impressive milestone: two of the tracks we worked on were signed by the renowned U.S.-based label Trax. I’m confident that James is on a path to achieving great things in his career, and I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.
